Intentional Discipleship Movement (IDM) is a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to raising kingdom leaders through intentional discipleship, biblical training, and authentic community.
We believe that every believer is called to be a disciple and to make disciples. Our mission is to equip young people with the spiritual foundations, godly character, and practical skills they need to fulfill their God-given purpose and impact their generation for Christ.

Many young believers today are spiritually malnourished. They may attend church regularly, but lack the depth of relationship with God, the understanding of Scripture, and the practical skills needed to live out their faith in a challenging world.

Intentional Discipleship Movement was born out of a deep burden for the spiritual state of young believers in Africa. Our founder, Jackson Macharia, observed that while many young people were coming to Christ, few were being properly discipled to live out their faith with depth and purpose.
What started as informal discipleship gatherings soon grew into a structured movement as more young people caught the vision for intentional spiritual growth. Today, IDM has impacted hundreds of lives across multiple countries, with graduates going on to start discipleship groups, lead ministries, and transform their communities.
Our story is still being written, and we believe the best is yet to come. As we remain faithful to the call, we trust God to continue multiplying disciples and expanding His kingdom through this movement.

Jackson Macharia is a passionate disciple-maker, author, and speaker with a heart to see young people transformed by the gospel and equipped to impact their generation. With years of experience in youth ministry, church planting, and leadership development, he founded IDM with a vision to raise kingdom leaders across Africa and the nations.
His approach to discipleship is deeply relational, biblically grounded, and practically oriented. He believes that every believer has the potential to be a world-changer when properly discipled and released into their God-given purpose. Jackson is also the founder of Piranhajack Publishing House, which supports the ministry's content and resource development.
